CERS is the European Governing body for Roller Sports. Our In-Line Hockey movement is part of CERS. The last CERS Congress in Oliveira di Alzemeis was open the the election of the CERS Executive Committee and  General Assembly renewed its president. Fernando Claro (our picture) has been elected as new CERS president, for the next 4 years.

CERS General Assembly approved, during this meeting, some updates in its regulations. The purpose of the regulations updates was to adapt the rules in order to create new committees for new disciplines, to change the names of the technical committees and adapt the rules to the FIRS’s new way of managing Roller Sport.

Note that during this meeting, the General Assembly disapproved the proposition of CERS Executive Committee to give to the president the responsibility to name a president of technical committee – as it is running at FIRS level – and to maintain the previous rule of an independent General Assembly for each Technical Committee, to let European Federation the responsibility of voting for each sport’s president.

CERILH will be progressively rebranded as “CERS In-Line Hockey” Committee
